monday moment of zen

"let the beauty of what you love, be what you do."
~ rumi

life is too short to be unhappy. take an hour, few hours, or even a whole day to consider what it is that makes you happy and what it is that you love. it may not come to you quickly since we have a tendency to love lots of very different things (or at least i do). once you hone in on what it is that you love see what steps you can make to make what you love what you do. you will be so much happier that you did. every day will be a new adventure and you won't regret it! namaste

This is a good reminder for unemployed me - might as well go after something I love instead of just a paycheck if I can. Thank you!

Absolutely. I quit a job in 2008 to pursue what I love, teaching yoga! And that is exactly what I'm doing now. I couldn't have pictured a better outcome! Thanks for the reminder!

That's a beautiful reminder of what's important - and exactly what's on my mind right now. It's wonderful knowing that you have found what you love in massage, and are doing it!

I have wanted to be a doctor since I was 10 years old, but put it off b/c of family. Now they are 100% behind me and I have starting the med school app. process at 36 years old. Dreams have no age limits.

love Rumi, and that quote especially.
you're right.
I hope I can figure this out someday soon. I've got the right idea. I love books and work at a library, but it's still not exactly right, in terms of what I DO, you know?
I'm sure I'll find my way.
Thanks for the push and the words of wisdom.
