monday moment of zen

No hawk hangs over in this air:
The urgent snow is everywhere.
The wing adroiter than a sail
Must lean away from such a gale,
Abandoning its straight intent,
Or else expose tough ligament
And tender flesh to what before
Meant dampened feathers, nothing more.
Forceless upon our backs there fall
Infrequent flakes hexagonal,
Devised in many a curious style
To charm our safety for a while,
Where close to earth like mice we go
Under the horizontal snow.

~ The Snow Storm by Edna St. Vincent Millay

chances are some of you got pummeled with snow this weekend. chances are that some of you were stuck at home and couldn't get out. sometimes mother nature has a way of making us slow down. take the time to slow down and enjoy the beauty that mother nature has bestowed upon us. namaste

if you look closely cadyn is at the end of the path

cadyn and dooty staying on the path

I so look forward to Monday as well, just because of you and your Zen posts! Lovely pictures. Looks like you got about the same amount of snow as us. And I hear there is more coming! Stay warm and snuggle up!
Hugs,
Heather

Love this! You are so right...seems like the snow is everywhere encouraging us all to take a breath and perhaps slow down a bit. (Oh, and to shovel a path for the poor doggie to go through - it's amusing watching our shih tzu coming back in with snow hanging from his chin!)

I've been quite busy with my One World One Heart giveaway but still compiling that list of resources for you -- SOON HEADING YOUR WAY! :)

Many hugs, Lisa

So cute! You could have said nothing and posted the picture of Cadyn and Dooty and I would have been zen!

dear Melita, thank you for this reminder. I really needed it because lately with the snow that has been keeping me stuck at home... i've gotten bitter and down. Thank you for the reminder that it's beauty from mother nature... not a punishment. i needed your moment of zen.
