Have you read Misty of Chincoteague. After reading it aloud to my Daughter years ago...would love to go. Have a great time. Artist date today...not sure what I am going to do.

I used to vacation in those three places all the time when I was a little girl!! Be sure to visit Assateauge Island, where they have a wildlife refuge that's really amazing (that's where the famous "Chincoteague" ponies live most of the year).

I've only been as far south as Ocracoke Island on the Outer Banks, but I'm sure the rest of it is as beautiful as the parts I've seen! What's really ironic, is that I have been collecting ideas and old photos to prepare a post about my vacations there... Have a great time, and I'll be excited to see your photos since I haven't been down in ages! :) xo

Oh, and p.s. there are also wild horses on the northern part of the Outer Banks near the Currituck Lighthouse if you're going to be driving all the way down the islands.

Goodness, I'm so excited for you! :)
