favorite kitchen gadget

if you asked what my all time favorite kitchen gadget it, i'd have to say my salad spinner.
it really does do an excellent job at getting almost all of the water off of your lettuce and greens in general. it makes your lettuce/greens last longer in the fridge as well. it's definitely an easy clean up. plus, you can take out the middle green piece and use it as a colander. we have the big one but there are smaller versions available if you are really tight on space.

do you guys have a favorite kitchen gadget?

Hmmm...I have two..

My Kitchenaide stand mixer is my absolute favorite kitchen gadget - I just love it.

But, my most used kitchen gadget is definitely my food processor.

Both were gifts and I loooove both so much!

I love your salad spinner. Have never had one, but it looks quite useful. My fave kitchen accoutrement is a cast iron skillet. Bar None. We haven't one here at the beach and I miss it. :)

That is a great funky salad spinner! I wish mine looked that nice.

My favorite kitchen gadget is whoever is in the kitchen cooking for me, so I don't have to!

Can't live without our salad spinner either! Our broke recently and it was like 3 days before we got to the store to replace it, and you think that it was a national emergency not having it!

I have to agree with the food processor. It makes life so much easier!

My rice steamer died so I got a new, larger one. Love it because I can do lots of veggies then douse them with a Thai peanut sauce. A friend gave me a recipe that's so easy and good.

I've always wondered about 'tuttle'. At one time I was going to go back thru the blogs I missed before discovering you. Still want to do that but at least I know I won't find the tuttle!

I have debated w/hubby about the salad spinner - might just have to bit the bullet and get one.

My fav kitchen gadget is my food processor and garlic press!

food processors really do come in handy for many different things. i also love my juicer (although i am guilty for not using it as often as i should). ryan's been wanting a garlic press as of recent so we don't have to mince by hand :)

jo & lynne - you'll just have to keep your eyes peeled for that post. ;)

I have too many - right now it's mainly the food processor that is my favorite. I think I need a spinner though.
